I’ve worked for several brands across General Mills over the years, but none has had an iconic brand icon as mighty as Green Giant. Many adults had grown up with him, but not heard his ‘ho ho ho’ for some time. Now these adults had children themselves, it was time to appeal to their nostalgia and revisit the giant’s world of goodness. I worked with The Collaborators and A Large Evil Corporation to create the idea, write the script and carry this TV revival through to the finished ad. Updated with ‘Steam Locked Goodness’ for a new generation of health conscious parents, the ad created much needed magic and adventure around mealtimes and brought new life to one of Britain’s favourite brands.
